  1. ABCs of Adolf Hitler By Cori Krick

  2. D is for Dreams • Even Adolf Hitler had dreams. Although he never went beyond high school for education, Adolf Hitler dreamed of becoming an artist. Twice, he applied to the Academy of Arts in Vienna, Austria, but did not get accepted. He continued to draw even though he never earned money from it. 3. E is for Early life • Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Vienna, Austria. His parents both died when he was quite young. Hitler’s father was an angry man who abused his son frequently, but young Adolf adored his mother. After his father’s death, he received an allowance that allowed him to stay in school and support him until later when he joined the armed services. 4. L is for Leadership • Adolf Hitler showed great aptitude for leadership when he was young. His teachers believed he was very smart and he had a lot of friends. He would always organize war-like games and reenact battles. Some would say he showed natural leadership capabilities, but his peers found him somewhat bossy, so he frequently befriended younger children. (http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERhitler.htm)
