  2. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 …..And God saw the light, that it was goodGenesis 1:4a And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:10 And the earth brought forth grass …... And God saw that it was good Genesis 1:12

  3. Then God made two great lights….. He made the stars also…….And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:16-18 So God created great sea creatures …...And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:21 God made the beast of the earth…. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone….“Genesis 2:18

  6. Marriage fulfilled a need: • Not good • More than companionship • God’s special gift • Adam’s revelation He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.Proverbs 18:22

  7. Marriage is very good: Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. Genesis 1:31

  8. Marriage is very good: • Completeness • Wholeness • Finished • Good for mankind Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it…..” Genesis 1:28

  9. Marriage is very good: • Completeness • Good for mankind But did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Malachi 2:15

For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.Ephesians 5:28-29

  14. Marriage is very good: • Completeness • Good for mankind • Good for husband & wife • Good as God intended So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27

  15. Marriage is very good: • Completeness • Good for mankind • Good for husband & wife • Good as God intended from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.'Mark 10:6

This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.Ephesians 5:30-32
