  2. Background • Education Center is non – governmental organization. It was established in 1997. The purpose of this organization is to provide youth with an opportunity to learn languages. The centre provides training on Computers, English, Tajik, Russian and French languages. The main task of the organization is to organize courses for youth and children in Pamirs region.

  3. Education Center is one of the leading centers in GBAO. The main purpose of the center is to provide the local community to learn different languages.

  4. Education Center has educational opportunity such as: • 3 months courses, • 6 months courses, kids group, advanced, computer courses, Russian and Tajik languages courses. • 2 years courses.

  5. Our advantages. • The training courses are conducted by the qualified teachers. • After graduating from the centre students will get certificate or diploma.

  6. English Langage course Two year course. This course is designed for students learning English at basic user and Independent User levels, which are defined within the common framework developed by the specialists of the centre in collaboration with the specialist of IPD. This framework implies in-depth development of student‘s English language. The course is designed to give students the opportunity to acquire necessary skills and knowledge that are needed for communication in various areas and particularly, in the everyday life, and get acquainted with the basic terminology needed to read texts in English. When graduating this 2 years course the students have opportunity to get diploma.

  8. English for kids The special English course “English for kids” was established in our centre in July 2007. The main purpose of the course is to provide the local community with the facility of entertainment based on learning and engage the children of different ages, from 6-15 in a variety of useful activities during summer vacation. The course outline is based on skill development and communicative tasks.

  9. Each day consists of miscellaneous kinds of classes based on English practice, computer classes, watching video extracts or cartoons in English and singing classes in English. It also contains entertaining and meaningful games coupled with easy-to-understand explanation This make the lesson worthwhile in every respect. • After graduating from 6 months course the students have opportunity to get certificate.

Computer Course • This course is designed for students learning Computer at beginner to more advanced levels (programs). • Microsoft Windows operation system – it is the graphical operation system that let to work in parallel with several programs. The same computer is using to put in order texts that can be used also for Internet, for working with Financial documents, to make a music or computer games, that’s why we must learn different programs.

  11. For professional work it is necessary to know Microsoft Office – this type program is made for all cases life of office workers • The following programs are being trained in the centre: • Ms Word • Ms Excel • Ms Publisher • Ms Power Point • Ms Access

Tajik and Russian Language Courses • These courses provide at beginner and intermediate levels for interested groups, which include school-age kids, students of university, those who graduated high school or college, and others, e.g. adult workers or those who want to master these languages. Students are divided into group of 8 people and undergo the entire course for one level in 3 months for 40 hours.

  13. Translation Service • These services enable the local community to be able to translate the needed materials into Russian or Tajik Languages or vice-versa.The translations are provided in time and are high-quality.
