PURPOSE OF RESUME • One of the most common questions for people entering the job market is ”How can I get this company to choose me?”The first impression a company has of a job candidate usually comes from the candidate’s resume. The content and layout of a resume are crucial, therefore, for attracting the attention of a prospective employer. • The main purpose of a resume is for job seekers to “sell” their skills and experience. Accordingly, it is important for people to pick the best format to suit their skills and experience.
