Create a Rentals Team Mission Statement (1:15pm – 1:45pm) North Seattle College Rentals Team Mission Statement: We provide exceptional rental venues, resources and support utilizing interdepartmental collaboration and a highly dedicated and professional staff. We take pride in delivering quality work to any individual or croup, including on campus clients, neighborhood groups, and national organizations.

  5. Check for Team Alignment with Mission Statement (1:15pm – 1:45pm) • Is one or both of the following statements true for you? • “I’m part of something good, great, or magnificent by participating in this organizations mission and vision” (Wagner). • “I’m fulfilling my own personal, professional and soul-ful goals for my own development and my life by being here and participating in this” (Wagner)

Create a Team Agreement(1:45pm – 2:15pm) Our Dream Team: • Has a weekly “Team Huddle” • Has quick response time • Utilizes highly efficient communication • Takes responsibility and pride in our work • Has a good sense of humor • Demonstrates respect and kindness • Openly shares knowledge • Is flexible • Uses existing resources to their maximum effectiveness.

Clear the Swamp (2:30pm – 3:30pm) • Obstacles to success • Volume with available resources • Having and effective point person • Clearly defined limitations of service • Charging an additional amount for selected media equipment. • Info sheet on operating media equipment for clients • A vacuum for clients to use • Limiting changes to set to 48 hours before rental. • Purchasing cable adaptors • Storage space for tables and chairs • Clearer communications • “Super Cart” for media • Clearer form for on campus users to fill out

Creating and Action and Accountability Plan (3:30pm to 4:00pm) • Having and effective point person • Amy will add verbiage to email sent to clients with contract to the effect of “Unless otherwise specified, the primary contact listed on contract will be considered the primary contact on the day of the rental and will be the only one authorized to make additional requests in regards to facilities setup or media needs”

  9. Creating and Action and Accountability Plan (3:30pm to 4:00pm) • Charging an additional amount for selected media equipment. • Wellness Center rentals requiring media will now be charged a flat $200.00 rate for sound reinforcement and our wireless mics. • Wireless hand held mics will be an additional charge, charge TBD • The rate for lavaliere mics will increase from $50.00 to $75.00

  10. Creating and Action and Accountability Plan (3:30pm to 4:00pm) • Limiting changes to set to 48 hours before rental • Amy will add verbiage to email sent to clients with contract to the effect of “Changes made to facilities setup or media requests less than 48 hours before the beginning of your rental may result in an additional $50.00 charge”.
