  4. A bit of history • Group formally accepted by ESC on 22 March 1996 • Main objectives • Co-ordination framework for many existing initiatives • Focal point for future individual and common solidarity actions • Reference context for institutional contributions

Handicap Support (1/2) • Web site active since Dec.1995 • Publication of information useful for people with any kind of disability • E-mail contact point for further help • Participation to IEEE computer society standard’s definition • (P2001 - Web Site design - approved in year 2000) • (P2001 - Revision - on-going) EVG General Assemby 2001

Current Activities (one-off - 2/3) • Emergency intervention for standing activities • Funds to help restructure the orphanage (necessary to respect of new Italian law and not to close) • Dismissed PCs for orphanage school-boys • Computers set-up and distribution: • For people with disability (Sara) • For other volunteers organizations (Zambia) EVG General Assemby 2001
