  1. What Is Digital Marketing In this new digital age, many old concepts have been updated to keep up with that is expected during the modern age. An example of that, is digital media. As technology advanced, more options were presented in terms of marketing via websites using computers and mobile phones. These additional options mean a larger audience who can witness advertisements more often compared to traditional means. Purpose Marketing is an important aspect of any business, new or old. The need to have a constant, growing customer base is what keeps a business afloat whilst creating profits. This is done by offering great services or products to ensure a returning base and word of mouth, but initial and consistent awareness of your business is needed for any kids of growth. This is marketing comes in, specifically digital marketing. With the current technology, more people than ever are constantly connected to the internet with 1 more devices capable of surfing the internet. These multitudes of devices allowing more people to access the internet at any given point means that are more people who can witness advertisement more often than before. Digital marketing​ is the evolution of slandered marketing for the digital age, used to advertise different products or services in a newer, modern method whilst still using majority of traditional methods of marketing. Types Marketing use to consist of adverts within the older generations of media. These media, whilst still used, are not as popular of their modern equivalent in some cases, while others remain as just as viable as it used to. These adverts where physical advertisements in newspapers or fliers as well as commercials that could be seen on television or heard through a radio. The range of marketing today is similar, but broader. Advertisements that could only be seen on television have now branched to devices capable of playing video on certain site. YouTube is one of the most visited video streaming websites with over 1 billion unique users. 1 billion pairs of eye to view advertisements when a new video loads or advert breaks are placed with a videos timeline, such a large amount of views could lead to a large customer base. Pop ups are also used an ​advertisement method​, as well as banners on websites offering a slot to have advertisements in place for a continual fee. People visiting these websites will allow businesses to display their presence globally and continually to a large audience more often

Even in the digital age, the use of advertisements on radio and television has not become extinct, usually reserved for large companies that with to advertise on multiple platforms at once to ensure their branding gets noticed or for small businesses looking to advertise locally on a smaller budget. Advantages The biggest advantage of using digital marketing is the potential amount of views it will get. With so many avenues of potential advertisement methods from videos on wildly popular websites like YouTube to eye catching banners or small advertisement blocks with a brief description of what can be offered by the business. Sharing popular advertisements has also become a recent trend. Particular marketing adverts are often shared to many friends to be seen, which get shared again, spreading throughout social networks for more views without any additional costs.
