  2. GhanshyamSarda, the man spearheading the Sarda Group of Industries, has finalised plans to establish a training centre for inexperienced jute employees as a step toward bolstering the economy.  • The Sarda Group of Industries is based in Kolkata and operates across West Bengal. It has holdings in jute, real estate, and information technology and has a turnover of Rs. 2,000 crore. The company operates eight jute mills that manufacture more than 500 tonnes of jute goods each day. The newly built Jute Mill in Alwar, Rajasthan, will cost approximately Rs 100 crore.

  3. The Sarda Group was the first company in India to establish professional training facilities for jute mill employees. Mr. GhanshyamSarda has been a strong advocate for refining factory workers’ abilities from the start. He emphasised that relevant training helps individuals improve their work skills, leading to productivity and improved efficiency. • “The 100-year-old jute industry had failed to establish a competent training centre to provide education and technical skills to those seeking work in the jute industry,” he was quoted saying about the jute industry in West Bengal.

  4. Mr.GhanshyamSarda’sendeavour to resurrect the dying jute sector was more than a mercenary undertaking. The Sarda Group has made it a priority to protect the environment by promoting biodegradable fibres such as jute. He was also crucial in establishing the Ram Dev SardaVidyalaya in Purnea, Bihar, as part of his desire to help others. • This management college, formed by the Group’s Chandrakala Devi Sarda’s Charitable Trust, is based on Late MrShiwlalSarda’s philosophy of giving back to society, nature, and the environment. Every year, about 5000 students attend the college. The Sarda Group employs approximately 50,000 people in West Bengal, making it one of its top employers.

  5. Mr. GhanshyamSarda is a source of inspiration for millions of people today. His address on survival instinct at the IIEST College Alumni Association’s meeting cemented his reputation as a wellspring of enormous knowledge and firm beliefs. “Knowledge is not power; knowledge is merely potential power,” he said.
