C – M – R – E – C UNIVERSITY OF MARYLANDCollege of Agriculture and Natural Resources Staffing • CMREC Headquarters houses the Center's administrative offices  • University of Maryland Cooperative Extension (MCE) houses faculty and staff at Headquarters and the Upper Marlboro Facility • Facility and program managers, as well as agricultural technicians, are located at each of the four research farms Equal access programs

C – M – R – E – C UNIVERSITY OF MARYLANDCollege of Agriculture and Natural Resources Establishment of CMREC • In 1988, the Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station created CMREC. • Six research and associated facilities came under the umbrella of CMREC: • Headquarters • Beltsville • Clarksville • Paint Branch Turf Facility • Upper Marlboro • Beef Facility • Horse Facility Equal access programs

C – M – R – E – C UNIVERSITY OF MARYLANDCollege of Agriculture and Natural Resources Changing to meet the needs • The Beef Facility at Sykesville and Horse Facility at Ellicott City were sold and no longer a part of the system • In 2000, the Paint Branch Turfgrass Facility was moved to campus • In 2004, an equine unit was established at the Clarksville Facility Equal access programs
