Overview of the product 1-1 Use This target type tank level gauge is used to measure and indicate water levels in large tanks in industrial facilities for light oil, petrochemistry, food, chemistry, water treatment, and power generation. This level gauge is mostly used, particularly, in checking storage, maintaining constant water levels, and measuring certain amounts of liquids in batch processes. Places of application - Oil refining: crude oil, gasoline, heavy oil, lamp oil, naphtha, organic oil, inorganic oil, asphalt pitch, sulfur - Petrochemistry: benzol, toluene, xylene, methanol, ethanol - Dam: water gauge, gate opening indicator, etc. - Food industry: beer, liquor, soy sauce, molasses, mayonnaise - Chemistry: paint, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid - Power plant: heavy oil, water tank, distillation tank - Water treatment: waterworks and sewage facilities, waste water, drinking water, Elevated Water Storage Tank 1-2 Characteristics - A gauge using weight balance to be read in cm units - Simplified design with high durability - Simple calibration 1-3 Operation principle The float on the surface of the liquid in the tank floats at a certain submerging depth where the weight of the float, the buoyancy of the float, and the wire tension maintain their equilibrium. Measured levels are indicated through the measuring wire and the arithmometer. When the level goes up or down, upward or downward is generated by changes in the weight of the float and this power immediately achieve equilibrium at the point it is compensated by the spring.   5. 3. Installation 3-1 Installation location The float should be located far from the inlet of the fluid flowing into the tank so that the float is not affected by the flow or lapping of the fluid. To facilitate checking during installation or use, it is recommended to install cover for checking at a location close to the Guide Wire. HFW-100W_M_EHITROL CO., LTD.

  6. 3-2 Top anchor installation The nozzle flange or socket should be installed as below figure when the top anchors installed. HFW-100W_M_EHITROL CO., LTD.

  7. 3-3 Guide wire installation Figure 1 1) Open the Top Anchor cover on the top of the tank and fix the top end of the Guide Wire to the Top Anchor temporarily. 2) On the floor of the tank, have the Bottom Anchor pass through the Guide Ring and fix the guide wire firmly to the Bottom Anchor, as shown in the figure2. Then, cut the extra part of the Guide Wire out so that the guide wire would not obstruct the Float. 3) Pull the Guide Wire tightly fromthe top of the tank and fix it, as shown in the figure1. Fix the guide wire using nuts ① and ② and fasten nut ③ so that the spring can sufficiently act. <Matters that require attention> - Be careful not to have the Guide Wire to be folded or twisted. - The two Guide Wires should be vertical and should be parallel to each other. - With the liquid in the tank, the connection between the guide wire on the floor and the Bottom Anchor should be checked to see if it is sufficiently strong.
