  3. S. Valentim Saint Valentine or Saint Valentinus is a Catholic saint who gives name to the Valentine's Day in many countries, which celebrate Valentines Day. The name refers to at least three martyred saints of ancient Rome.

  4. Thestory It is said that Emperor Claudius wanted to gather a large army to expand the Roman Empire.? For this, wanted men enlisted as volunteers, but the truth is that they were tired of war and had to think about the families they left back ...? If they die in combat, who would argue that?? Claudius became angry and considered it a betrayal. Then he had an idea: if men were not married, nothing would prevent them from going to war. Therefore decided that would not be permitted for most weddings.? Youth found that this was an unfair and cruel law. In turn, the priest Valentine, who completely disagreed with the law of Claudius, decided to perform marriages in secret.? The ceremony was a dangerous act, because while the bride and groom were married in a dimly lit room, had to be listening to try to understand if there were soldiers around.

  5. continuation One night , during one of these secret marriages , hear are steps . The couple was married at the time managed to escape , but the priest Valentine was captured . Went to prison waiting for the day he came running. During his captivity , young people passed through the windows of his prison and threw flowers and messages which they said also believe in the power of love. ? Among the people who played the bishop posts was a young blind : Asterius , the jailer's daughter , who got his father's permission to visit Valentine. Her father allowed her to visit him in his cell and there were hours and hours talking. The two ended up falling in love and miraculously regained his sight . • On the day of his execution , Valentine left a message to your friend (for those who say they fell in love ) , thanking him for his friendship and loyalty . ? ? It seems that this message was the beginning of the custom of exchanging love messages on S. Valentine , celebrated on the day of his death on 14 February in the year 269 .
