I am here today representing Ron Blakely, the Army HBCU/MI Program Manager, who was unable to attend due to family illness. I bring you greetings from Ms Tracey L. Pinson, Director Army Small Business Office, an ardent support of the HBCU program. The Army remains committed to developing and maintaining long-term relationships with Minority Institutions, especially those interested in math, science and engineering programs. The Army is an organization that is transforming itself e.g., (Future Combat Systems and emerging technologies); therefore creating more opportunities for Colleges and Universities to participate in Army research and development and training programs.
