  13. UT Registration • Course Schedule for Fall’12 just released. • Registration for classes starts this month. • What classes do I take?! • Here are some of the officers’ top choices! TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  14. Martin suggests... • Animal behavior (BIO 359K w/ McClelland) – • Easy and interesting if you like animals :) • Evolutionary Neurobiology (BIO 337 w/ Zakon) – • Not as hard as it sounds. SUPER COOL STUFF! • Business Law (LEB 320F w/ Pederson) – • She’s awesome (and of course, easy). TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  15. Ellie suggests... • Cell Biology (BIO 320 w/ O’Halloran/De Lozanne) -- A tough class in terms of memorization but totally prepares you for upper-division bio classes - also goes great with biochem (CH 369) because it overlaps some! Instructors seriously know their stuff and teach really well • Architecture and Society (ARC 308 w/ Speck) -- AMAZING class if you need a visual and performing arts credit! I appreciate architecture everywhere now - be prepared to write essays for exams though! • Statistics in Healthcare (SSC 304 w/ Stacy) -- Makes statistics relevant and awesome at 1-1 help! Her TAs are awesome and her tests are majority take-home TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  16. Garrett suggests... • Intro to Psycholohy (PSY 301 w/ Domjan) – • Really tried to make it applicable • Intro to Linguistics (LIN 306 w/ England) – • Really knows what she’s talking about, • Biochemistry 2 (CH339L w/ Ellington) -- • It’s hard, but you actually learn stuff. TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  17. Sonny suggests... • Medical Terminology (CC 306M w/ Curtis) -- You don't deserve to live if you make a B in this class - very easy. Curtis gives out two practice exams the week before ... and he's a physical therapist - talk to him. • Accounting (ACC 310F w/ Verduzco) – He gives simple notes; knowing how to do the homework is basically key to killing the exams. Easy A. • Contemporary Moral Concepts (PHL 304 /w Krecz) -- Interesting class if you need to take care of a fine arts credit. Goes through important topics such as capital punishment, murder and capital punishment, sexuality, pornography, and abortion. Essay exams, but he provides practice questions the week before. TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  18. Lydia suggests... • BIO 326R (Microbiology w/ Davies) • wonderful teacher • all the material you need to know are on the slides; textbook is supplementary but i didn’t even use it! • isnt so much worried about details but more about concepts • PHY 302K (Physics Non Calculus Based w/ Fiete) • very nice sweet man that teaches in an organized manner • very generous on making the tests • BIO 325 (Genetics w/ Bierner) • old man that literally reads off his slides • no textbook, so all material from slides • any genetics class will be super memorized based, so this one is of course too, but i literally memorized everything on the slides and there were no surprises on the tests! TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  19. Priyanka suggests... • CH 369 (Biochem w/ Grabner) • really straightforward class and exams • really nice, and good idea to get to know her for a recommendation TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America

  20. Last meeting: Tuesday, Apr. 17th Get your T-shirts! ONWARDS TO JUICY TART!! TX HOSA www.txhosa.org Health Occupations Students of America
