Starting from July 1 certified dispensaries in Nevada started the recreational sales of marijuana. Though, starting from January it was legal to possess marijuana, however it was only from July 1st that people could also buy it.
Who is eligible to buy it? • If you are 21 years old and hold a medical marijuana card, then you are eligible to buy marijuana. All you have to do is showing your ID.
Buying from everywhere? • You can buy marijuana ONLY from state licensed retail marijuana store.
How much can you buy? • You can carry with you up to: • an ounce - marijuana • ½ ounce - concentrates
Purchasing through credit or debit card? • Buying marijuana is possible only through case – no use of credit or debit card. That is why in most of the dispensaries you will find an ATM inside, so don’t worry if you have forgotten about the “only cash” rule.
Where to smoke? • Consuming marijuana in public may cause you 600$ of fine. So, make sure when you carry the marijuana with you, you should find a private place for consuming it – apartments, houses etc.
Driving with marijuana? • It is much the same as with alcohol. You can still drive if you have marijuana in car (like as you can do with alcohol) but it’s against the law if you drive when you are stoned.
Growing marijuana? • You can grow marijuana, but there are several things you should know about it as well: • You can grow up to 6 plants • For personal use • Only if you are the legal owner of the property (otherwise you will need the owner’s permission) • Should be out of public view • Should be in a locked area
