  2. How to head your paper: • In the top, right-hand corner (first three lines of the paper) • Full Name • Date • Class Period • College Entrance Essay • August 27th- Peer Editing: Bring a rough draft • September 1st -Last Day to turn in typed essay

  3. Rules for Manuscript Writing • Use only one side of a sheet of paper. • Write in blue or black ink, or type. • If you write by hand, don’t skip lines. If you type, double-space the lines. • Leave a margin of about one inch at the top, sides, and bottom of the paper. • Follow your teacher’s instructions for placing your name, the date, your class, and the title of your paper. • Indent the first line of each paragraph. If you don’t indent, skip lines between paragraphs, but do not do both. • Number all pages except the first page. Place the number in the upper right-hand corner. • All pages should be neat and clean. You may make a few corrections with correction fluid.
