  2. Pair of bony cavities that contain the eye balls • Eyelids • Upper surface covered by skin and the inner surface covered by mucous membrane, the conjunctiva.

  3. The recti • The four recti arising from the fibrous ring called common tendinous ring. • Sclera • Nerve supply: • Superior,inferior and medial recti are supplied by the oculomotor nerve; • Lateral recti by the abducent nerve(LR6).

  4. The oblique muscles • Superior oblique: • Body of sphenoid to medial aspect of superior surface of sclera thru a pulley • Trochlear nerve(SO4) • Downward and laterally • Inferior oblique: • Anterior part of floor of he orbit • Oculomotor nerve • Upward and laterally

  5. Sphinchterpupillae of iris • Parasympathetic via oculomotor • Constricts pupil • Dilator pupillae of iris • Sympathetic • Dilates pupil

  6. Ciliary muscle: • Parasympathetic via oculomotor • Controls shape of lens
