  4. Email Notice Questionnaire • Please specify the email address you want to use for this project. It needs to be checked regularly because ti will be the address the patron sees on the notice message, the reply-to address, and the address returned emails are sent to. It can be the existing general library email i.e. Clinton@midyork.org or we can create a new email address i.e. KirklandLibrary@midyork.org • How many days do you keep things on the hold shelf for patrons? • Describe your procedure for handling overdue notices.

Tentative Implementation Schedule Now – January 1st - return questionnaire (Library staff) Now – January 15th - prepare patron records (Library staff) Now – February 1st – set up test libraries (Clinton, Cazenovia, DeRuyter, Rome, Canastota, Morrisville, Utica) and tweak notice text (MYLS and Library Staff) January 15th-January 31st – setup a report for each library (MYLS) February 1st - Send Sign-up/Notification message (MYLS) February 2nd – Clear all email addresses (MYLS) February-March – Re-enter emails for those patrons who opt-in to the service(MYLS) February-March – Configure receipt printers to print email on Hold slip March 1st – Begin sending email notification for Hold Pickup and Pre-due reminders (MYLS) March 1st – Add information to web catalog and produce cards to give to patrons for how to sign-up for the service (MYLS) March-April – Evaluate and discuss how to implement for overdues
