  16. Community Plan Goals • Goal 1: Achieve better design and densities that are compatible with Riverview.

Goal 2: Seven Districts • Hwy 301 - Corridor Provide a safe, attractive and efficient corridor system that contributes to the character and economic well-being of the community and provides a sense of arrival. • Downtown - Focus and direct development to create a recognizable walkable mixed–use downtown district. • Riverfront- Recognize and protect the historical, scenic, recreational and environmental value of the Alafia River.

Goal 2: Seven Districts • Mixed Use - Focus and direct development toward walkable mixed-use town centers locations throughout the community while respecting the existing land uses. • Residential - Encourage attractive residential development that complements the surrounding character and promotes a diversity of housing types.

  20. Goal 2: Seven Districts • Industrial - Attract employment centers and desirable industry with appropriate infrastructure without conflicting with other land uses. • Open Space – Build upon the county owned Boyette Scrub lands by acquiring lands from willing sellers.

  21. Community Plan Goals-cont. • Goal 3: Enhance the community's “sense of place”, small town spirit and gateways. • Goal 4: Provide safe, attractive, efficient multi-modal transportation, including vehicular, bicycle/pedestrian and transit.

  22. Community Plan Goals-cont. • Goal 5: Improve and expand public facilities, services, and park systems, including the existing Civic Center. • Goal 6: Prioritize the significance of improved quality, enjoyment and protection of the Alafia River and other natural resources.
