  3. INTRODUCTION • Established on 30 July 2006 • A Non-Profit Organization • Represent and defend the family business • 35 Founder Members.

  4. 1. B F B A - OVERVIEW Family Business consists of three circles. • Owners • Family Members • Managers & Employees They overlap and interact with each other. The secret of successful family business is to keep each circle in check and to not allow one to be more important than the other. Also, we must recognize the overlap between them and have wisdom and tolerance to overcome the ‘gray areas’

  5. 1.BFBA-OVERVIEW….Cont’d Each circle has an important role to play. It is the duty of our Association to balance each against the other.

Vision • Nurturing and looking after family businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain. • Providing required services to develop strategies and work plans ensuring growth and prosperity. • Enforcement of competitive potentialities internally and externally. • Establish in Bahrain and expand it Gulf wide

Mission • Implementation of all projects, activities and programs that help to develop the family business and consolidate its situations. • Focus on Family Members problems and how to resolve them. • Maximizing the capabilities of the family business for achieving further growth and meeting all possible challenges. • Awareness of proper approach to Family Business problems.

Objectives • Develop family structures, regulations and work strategies. • Develop family management modules. • Assist in developing business relationships– networking. • Assist and direct in contacting government agencies. • Coping with internal and external challenges/problems. • Provide advisory and related services • Provide support and attention to the family businesses • Organize awareness campaigns

Projects, Activities & Programs • Participation with Family Business Centres and Organizations. • Organizing and conducting periodical seminars, presentations and conferences. • Organizing meetings between businessmen in Bahrain and Gulf wide business families. • Compiling economical & analytical studies • set up a library with references, directories and build a website. • Association with all Family Business Organization worldwide.

Conclusion Our aim is to succeed in turning this Association into a quality asset and to realize its goals for serving the national economy in general and offering assistance to all members of the Family Businesses in particular, especially in this new phase of action which is full of hope, promising economic and social ambitions.
