    7. Windows Vista Microsoft muutti kynnistyssekvenssi Vistassa. NTLDR on korvattu Bootmgr.exe ja Winload.exe ohjelmilla. Bootmgr.exe ohjelman asetukset on mritelty Boot Configure Data tiedoissa. Asetuksia muutetaan Bcdedit-ohjelmalla. Jos jrjestelm palautetaan lepotilasta, Winload.exe:n sijasta suoritetaan Winresume.exe. Boot sector ja Bootmgr.exe ovat aktiivisella osiolla. Muut ovat Vistan jrjestelmosiolla.
