  6. “Where can I get surfing lessons?” • Get educated • Need tips on how to be an officer or improve on being an member? No worries DCON has various workshops for YOU!

  7. “Where can I find the best waves next year?” • Get involved • Vote for next year’s executive team and endorse international candidates

  8. “The Successful Surfers” • Get recognized • Receive awards for your hard work throughout a successful year of Key Club

  9. “How can I learn new tricks?” • Get ideas • Go to the EXPO to see ideas for service projects that you can bring back to your home club and meet the candidates

  10. “When the sun sets on the horizon” • Governor’s Ball & Alternate Activities • Dance the night away or play games with all your Key Club friends!

  11. “What else is out there in the shallow end?” • Meet new people • There are over 3,000 CNH Bees here! • Educational Workshops! • Learn all about Key Club, scholarships, Eliminate, and more! • Talent Show • Watch some of the CNH Bees showcase their talent! • Collect buttons, ribbons, and wristbands! • Support PTP with a $1 donation, and get these!

  13. “Why waves?” • “Service is a ripple effect. It may start with one person helping a few people and then those people will help a few more people each and etc. And you see that this one person has impacted a whole bunch of people, like a droplet of water that creates widespread ripples.” • Pearl Lo, D25E Lt.   14. “But… waves?” • DCON is to inspire you to start your own wave of service, to start your own ripple. Have fun surfing the million waves of service!

  15. “What if I get lost at sea?” • If you: • Get lost • Want to know which workshop would be most beneficial for you • Are confused in anyway whatsoever, • - Feel free to ask a Kiwanis advisor, lieutenant governor, or sergeant at arms (SAA)! • - Check our nametags! • You can’t really drown in waves of service! Just let go and enjoy the ride!

  16. Tips! • Ask other Key Clubbers how they feel! • Plan out which workshops to attend • Follow Dress Code and the Code of Conduct HAVE FUN! 

DCON DOs! • Show your CLUB spirit! • The spirit stick at each general session will be given out to the most spirited club! • Learn a lot from the workshops! • Ask thoughtful questions during caucusing • See other service projects and meet the candidates at the service expo! • Interact with other Key Clubbers

  19. DCON DOs! • Eat and sleep; remember to stay hydrated! • You’ll need all the energy you can get! • Follow the code of conduct • Inspire others to serve! Start the ripple effect! BEE TRIVIA!Are girls and boys allowed in the same hotel rooms?

DCON DON’Ts! • Don’t disturb other hotel guests • Harm others while cheering (and in general) • Miss your commitments • (SAA/Judging/Delegates, etc) • Stay in your hotel room—you must attend convention at all times • Remember to set an alarm to wake up on time BEE TIP! Set up a shower schedule with your roomies!

  21. Code of Conduct • You must always follow the code of conduct! • Not doing so may result in the removal of your entire club from District Convention. • Follow dress code, stay inside your room during curfew, behave appropriately, etc.
