  1. LDP extensions for Explicit Pseudowire to transport LSP mapping draft-cao-pwe3-mpls-tp-pw-over-bidir-lsp-04.txt Mach Chen (mach.chen@huawei.com) Wei Cao (wayne.caowei@huawei.com) Attila Takacs (Attila.Takacs@ericsson.com) Ping Pan (ppan@infinera.com) IETF 82th PWE3 WG Taipei

  2. Problem Statement • Currently, • A PW uses two unidirectional LDP/RSVP-TE LSPs as PSN Tunnel, • PEs select and bind to PSN Tunnel locally, with no control plane support • New service requirements: • mapping bi-directional circuits to LSPs with same route(e.g., co-routed bi-directional LSP) PWs PE1 P1 P2 PE2 ACs ACs Co-routed Bidirectional LSP ACs ACs PWs Need to have explicit control over PW-LSP binding at control-plane IETF 82th PWE3 WG Taipei

  3. Solution Overview (Single-Hop)(Strict Mode) Setup PW1 using PSN1; Make sure PW2 using PSN 1 OK or, NO! Don’t want to use PSN1 PE1 P1 P2 PE2 ACs ACs PW1 PSN 1 PW2 PSN 2 ACs ACs IETF 82th PWE3 WG Taipei

  4. Solution Overview (Single-Hop)(Congruent Mode) Setup PW1 using PSN1; Make sure PW2 using a PSN with the same route as PSN1 OK PE1 P1 P2 PE2 ACs ACs PW1 PSN 1 PW2 PSN 2 ACs ACs IETF 82th PWE3 WG Taipei

  5. Solution Overview (Multi-Segment)(Strict Mode) (1) Setup PW1 using PSN1; PW2 needs to be PSN 1 (2) Setup PW3 using PSN3; PW4 needs to be PSN 3 (4) OK (3) OK PE1 PE3 PE2 ACs ACs PW1 PW3 PSN 3 PSN 1 PW2 PW4 PSN 4 PSN 2 ACs ACs IETF 82th PWE3 WG Taipei
