  1. ‘Jai Hanuman’

  2. Who was Hanumanji • Lord Shivji and Vishnuji had deep affection and respect for each other. • Hence Shivji took Hanuman Avatar during the Vishnuji’s Ram Avatar for helping his friend.

  3. Why born in VanarKul • Once Naradji developed fascination for marrige and he started dreaming about it. • For realization purpose Vishnuji organized a dummy Swyamvar of Laxmiji as daughter of some king. • Naradiji asked Vishnuji for his face for Swayamer but he gave him monkey’s face. • In Swayamver every one laughed on Naradji and when he checked the reason, he got angry on Vishnuji.

  4. Continue... • He gave curse to Vishnuji: “As I am not able to get my bride you also stay away from your wife.” • Then Naradji realised his mistake and found the solution as “A monkey will help you.” • Hence Shivji was born in Vanarkul (monkey family) to help his friend Vishnuji

The Birth of Hanumanji • Hanumanji was son of Kesari and Anjana. • Once bird snatched a part of the sacred khir given by Agnidev to Dasharath and dropped in Anjana’s hands. • That time Anjana was praying Pawandev for getting son and when she got the baby she called him “Pawanputra”. • Kesari and Anjana named the baby “Bajarang.”

The Naming of “Hanuman” • Once due to hunger Bajrang thought that Sun is big juicy fruit and he ate it. • The Gods complained to Indra and he attacked with Vajra on Bajrang’s cheek. • Bajrang became unconscious due to this and got mark on his Hanu (Cheek). • The Pavandev got angry due to this and he stopped all the air on the earth. • God realised their mistake showed regrets to Pawandev. • Bajrang got consciousness and also got the name “Hanuman.”

The Curse from Rishi • Bal Hanumanji was used to tease Rishi and Muni and he often hide their belonging to some far places. • One day one rishi got angry on him and said that you will lose all your powers. • Hanumanji realised his mistake and said sorry to rishi. • Rishi identified him as avatar of Shivji and revised his cruse that he will forgot about his power and in the crises time when some one remind him of his power, he will get all his power back.

Search of Sitaji • As per the direction of JatayuRamji sent Hanmanji, Jamvant and other Vanar army in south for searching the Sitaji. • After reaching extreme south all of them found a big ocean in front of them. • They wondered who will be able to go across the sea. • Then Jamvant and other monkeys reminded Hanumanji about his great powers and he took jump of 100 Yojan. Above is the example of how a person has power within and just an inspiration can create wonder.

A Long term Planner • Hanumanji knew that they needed to attack on Lanka hence: • Cleared the initial hurdles as Lankini (the guard of Lanka) • Destroyed the artillery in Lanka Dhan • Made friendship with Vibhishan • Created fear through burning tail in Lankavasees • Killed Yaksh Kumar to create fear in Ravan's mind • Created the great image of Ramji in Ravan'sDarbar

A Result Oriented Executer • Hanumanji worked to get the desired results hence is called as “Sankat Mochan” • Take a jumped over the sea to Lanka to find Sitaji • In Lanka did more than expected • Saved Laxmanji's Life by calling Sushen Vaid from Lanka • Brought Himalayan mountains for Sanjivnee Buti • Saved Ramji & Laxmanji's life from Ahiravan • Hanumanji proved that if there is a will there is a way

  12. A teacher • Hanumanji taught lessons to persons who asked for:: • Taught lessons of 'Niti' to Love and Kush • Taught lessons of humbleness to Bhim & Arjun • Taught lessons of devotion & trust to Tulsidas • Ramji also used to take his advice to solve administrative problems

  13. A Courageous Leader • Hanumanji had shown his courage to solve impossible looking task: • Ate Sun just as a boy eats any fruit • Helped Sugreev against his mighty brother as Sugreev was following truth • Had no fear in any execution • Performed the unbelievable tasks

  14. Highly Intellectual • When Ramji was searching Sitaji in Kishkindha’s forest, Sugreev sent Hanumanji to check about Ramji.. Hanumanji took 'bhesh' as Brahman and met with Ramji. • Hanumanji's words were such that Ramji was impressed and he told to laxmana: • None could speak the way the Brahman did unless he or she had mastered the Vedas. • His accent is captivating, adding that even an enemy with sword drawn would listen to him.

  15. Eternal Presence • Hanumanji blessed with eternal life. • Considered to be presence in all 'Yug'; right from Satyug till today. • Worshiped in many countries including Japan, China, Canada, Indonesia etc... • Our salute to his powers on Hanuman Jayanti
