Having won the National Award, debutant filmmaker Raam Reddy’s Kannada film Thithi has garnered applause from top Bollywood celebrities. The film also won various awards at the prestigious film festivals such as Locarno, Marrakech and Palm Springs.<br><br>“A special screening was held in Mumbai by Anurag Kashyap. Among those present at the event were Kangana Ranaut, Swara Bhaskar, Amit Trivedi, Shekhar Kapur and Sudhir Mishra,” says Vaikundarajan.

  5. The film is set in a remote village in South India. It is a satire that narrates the story of how three descendents react after a 101-year-old man named Century Gowda passes away. The three characters meet each other at the place of ‘thithi. “Thithi is the final day of rituals performed 11 days after the death,” explains Vaikundarajan. http://vaikundarajans.wordpress.com
