  2. What were the most important achievements of the four empires?

  3. The Akkadian Empire, lead by Sargon, was the first Mesopotamian empire, and they had many war and fighting achievements. • First off, Sargon trained his army to fight in tight formations of shields in fronts with spears extended between shields for organization and protection • Second, Sargon learned to use tributes to build up cities and gain power • Third, the Akkadians used their new military skills to conquer Sumer and become an empire

  4. The second empire was the Babylonians that lived under the rule of Hammurabi for a while, and they, too, had great achievements. • The first big one is Hammurabi’s code of laws to keep life extremely orderly and organized • The second was the code of laws’ public viewing so all could find rules and understand Hammurabi’s power • The third achievement by the Babylonians was the unusually fair society with rules that applied to all classes, even slave had some rights

  5. The Assyrians then conquered the Babylonians, and developed great achievements themselves, many being inventions. • -The first achievement of the Assyrians was the invention of the battering ram to knock down thick walls to other cities • Second was the first usage of aqueducts, pipes to carry water, that gave them water from up to 30 miles away • Last was the development of a greatly feared military because of their new strategies, use of hoses and iron weapons, and their skill in siege warfare

  6. After the fall of the Assyrians, the Neo-Babylonians came with the leader of Nebuchadrezzer, with their intelligent achievements • The first achievement of the Neo-Babylonians was their discoveries that lead to the present day sixty minute hour and seven day week • The second was the learning of past attacks to build very thick walls to surround cities • The knowledge to keep capital city safe

Web. 21 Feb 2014. • http://quest.eb.com/images/109_115827 • The Best Mesopotamian Empire • The Neo-Babylonian Empire would have been the best Mesopotamian empire to live in. • The fist reason why the above reads a true fact is that the Neo-Babylonians were very intelligent and could make advanced discoveries • Nebuchadrezzer was not greatly violent and ruthless, but still new how to control his empire • The Neo-Babylonians were successful enough in serious things that they could decorate with hanging gardens and have nice living.
