  1. Name Reactions- A marks scoring section in NEET exam Name reactions are a type of reaction that is named after the person discovered it. It is a scoring part of chemistry, and an important area in the NEET exam paper as well. who As we all know, although there is enough time left for an exam, it always seems that the exam is knocking at the door. So students are always ready to prepare for the NEET exam with their own set of According to the syllabus, mathematics, physics, and strategies. chemistry are vast and hard in the NEET exam. Also, if you scrutinise, you will know that physics and mathematics are the toughest part for the students compared to chemistry. Due to this reason and also to make them strong, they prefer joining NEET Coaching Institutes in Durgapur. In the case of chemistry, it consumes less time, and it is a scoring section because, in it, all facts are clear, along with conceptual clarity and reactions being at their tips. Now here is a question: how does a student gain mastery over these reactions? From the research and careful analysis, it is acknowledged that the NEET toppers are equipped with good strategies, customized notes, notes provided by coaching institutes, and important equations and reactions. In the chemistry section in the NEET exam, there is something known as name reactions in which students often stumble upon in the exams. Now this question may arise in your mind: what are name reactions? Name reactions are chemical reactions that are titled after the name of a person who is credited with either discovering the reaction or developing it.

  2. These name reactions from the organic chemistry section play a vital role for candidates appearing for NEET and JEE exams. In Board exams, class 12, and the competitive exams like JEE Advanced, JEE Main, JIPMER and NEET, these questions are recurring in nature. So to deal with the syllabus of NEET, it is preferable to join any NEET Coaching Institutes in Durgapur. Chemistry is a scoring paper, especially the organic chemistry part, and here are some important name reactions that a student must know from the organic chemistry section- 1.Etard reaction- This type of reaction occurs when an aromatic hydrocarbon is treated with a mild oxidizing agent like chromyl chloride CrO2Cl2; it produces aldehydes. For example, when Toluene (CH3) is added with CrO2Cl2, it forms Benzaldehyde (CHO). 2.Aldol condensation- This is a reaction where condensation of two molecules of ketones or aldehydes having hydrogen occur in the presence of base [dil. NaOH, Na2CO3, Ba(OH)2] which results in a b- hydroxy ketone or b-hydroxy aldehyde respectively and then put together, known as aldol. 3.Cannizzaro reaction- This is a self-oxidation reduction reaction that occurs when aldehydes are lacking a hydrogen atom experience a self- redox of a disproportionation reaction. The whole reaction occurs in the presence of a 50% aqueous solution of ethanolic solution of alkali where one alkali is undergoing oxidation to the salt of the corresponding acid, and another molecule is being reduced to an alcohol. 4.Crossed aldol condensation- This is a reaction which is referred to as a crossed aldol condensation which states that when an aldol condensation of various molecules of ketones or aldehydes or one of aldehyde and one of ketone takes place. The end product of the reaction of crossed aldol condensation is a mixture of various products. 5.Clemmensen reduction- In this method, aldehydes and ketones are reduced with Zn-Hg amalgam and concentrated HCl. These important reactions often come in the NEET or JEE exams, so the NEET aspirants must go through these name reactions thoroughly and must also practice well. But apart from this there are a number of other areas where the students may find it tough to prepare by themselves, so the students can join NEET Coaching Institutes in Durgapur and take guidance from the teachers.
