  10. Center For Help • A focal point for community services and referral information • Assist families and individuals with food, clothing, housing assistance, eviction and back rent, utility bill help, household goods, school supplies, prescription cards. • Lend A Hand - $2400 per month

  11. Youth and Family Services: • Family Support Services (OPWDD): services for individuals with a developmental disability and their families. Provide referral services and respite reimbursement. • Afterschool and Summer Inclusion Program: enables our children to experience basic learning opportunities within a multicultural, multiethnic, and positive social dynamic. • Summer Inclusion Program Extension of the After School Enrichment Program- both are inclusion programs. • Respite Reimbursement : Under the OPWDD program. Provides reimbursement for caregivers to provide services to disabled loved ones living in the home.

  12. Workforce Development • ATTAIN Technology Lab: Provides free computer certifications to dislocated workers, unemployed, and those receiving Public Assistance. Provide Computers. • Binghamton Opportunity Center (BOC) Prepare participants for re-entry to the workforce and provide a path to academic success through college preparedness • Life skills, work readiness, academic preparation, and computer literacy • Will work with you to overcome barriers, seek interviews, college admissions / placement / financial aid

  13. DSS/WEP: “Pencil Factory” – working with clients teaching them job skills, recycling and up cycling and management of a retail operation. Urban Star Thrift Store

WJOB 93.3 • 93.3 WJOB: Youth Radio Station on the FM band. • 93.3 FM’s aim is to entertain and inform young people • 93.3 FM supports new artists – local and national celebrity interviews of current and rising stars • Allows youth involved in the station real world opportunities to work in the field of media • Allows people to interact with each other • 93.3 offers news, music , stories and events to cover areas of relevance to young adults

Broome County Urban League Young Professionals • Authorized by the National Urban League Board of Trustees in 1999 • Patterned after the National Council of Urban League Guilds • Engages Young Volunteers ages 21-40 • “Best & Brightest” in their respective cities • First introduction & lasting connection to the Movement
