  1. Important topics for CTET paper 1 The CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) exam dates are announced and is about to be conducted on 7th of July 2019. Every year the exam is organized by the CBSE to evaluate candidate for the post of teacher in central government recognized institutions. The CTET paper 1 format has 5 sections which sub-divided into various topics which quite important from exam point of view. Here is the complete list of topics which are been asked in paper 1 which is said to be primary stage and is considered for Classes from 1 to 5. Considering the Topics the CTET preparation tips should be followed. •Child Development and Pedagogy This sections carries 30 question related to child development relate topics especially on primary school children. It contains subjects like: Child Development: Principles of development of children Influence of Heredity & environment, Socialization process, Critical perspective of the construct of intelligence, multi-dimension intelligence, language &thought, gender as a social construct, distinction between assessment for learning and assessment of learning. Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs: addressing all the those learners from diverse backgrounds, needs of children with learning difficulties and addressing to those who are talented and specially-abled learners Learning and Pedagogy: How children think and learn, children’s strategies of learning, social context of learning, child as a problem solver, motivation, cognition, emotions, factor contributing to learning. •Language I From this section about 30 question are asked which are related to topics mentioned below: Language Comprehension: Reading of unseen passages which can be related to drama or poem, verbal ability test, grammar etc. Pedagogy of Language Development: Learning and acquisition, principle of language teaching, language skills, Evaluating language comprehension and proficiency, role of listening and speaking •Language – II •Language Comprehension: There are two unseen paragraphs and question based on it are asked. •Pedagogy of Language Development •Mathematics From this section 30 questions are asked in the examination which can be from any of the topics mentioned here: Numbers, Division, Multiplication, Solid around us, shapes and spatial understanding, geometry, measurement, weight, time, volume, patterns, money. Pedagogical issues: Language of mathematics, community mathematics, problems of

  2. teaching, diagnostic and remedial teaching, evaluation thorugh formal or informal methos. •Environmental Studies 30 questions are asked from this section and contents are: Family and Friends: Animals, work and play, plants, relationships, food, shelter, water, travel, things we make and do Pedagogical Issues: Concept and scope of EVS, significance of EVS, environmental education, approaches of presenting concepts, activates, discussion, CCE, problems, approaches of presenting concept etc. The CTET preparation tips are worthy only if the candidate follow them properly. The most important thing is patience and discipline to learn about each topic and understand the concept behind them. Based on the content, the questions for the exams are prepared.
