  2. John Cabot • John Cabot was born 1850 in Genoa, Italy. • No one knows when he exactly died but some say he died in 1499.

  3. John Cabot • John Cabot sailed for England. • He was looking for a route to the west but he ended up in North America by sailing northwest, though the stormy Atlantic Ocean, and he eventually came to north America.

Facts about John Cabot • He was the second European to find North America (after Christopher Columbus). • His ship was called the Matthew , and he had a crew of 18 men. • He had 3 sons and married. • Career: Explorer and Navigator. • He was famous for: Exploring the coastline of Canada the subsequent colonization of Canada

  6. His comeback • In 1498 Cabot wanted to return to find “Japan” this time he took four, or five ships, and 300 men.
