  1. XIS Noise Problem 2004/3/16 K.Hayashida

  2. Various kinds of Noise • Stripe Noise • Band Noise type1 • Band Noise type2 • Jan9 event • Kyoto FM-S1 Noise • PSum 5 columns’ cycle noise

  3. 60Hz, 18KHz by Steve-san Observed at MIT, too Stripe Noise Dummy CCD FM-S3

  4. Band Noise type1 • Dummy CCD • 200rows near Serial register • 5-50ADU drop in pixel level • Frequency 2~3/200-13/200(Depends on PSU-12V current limit)

  5. Band Noise type2 • EMAE+EU-S • (FM-AE3+FM-S2)+u-code with CI • No particular location 10frames / 100frames

  6. P-sum mode 5columns cycle noise • P-sum PRAM used in Japan is different from that used in MIT. The bottom row of Imaging area is used.

  7. Jan9 event • FM-S2+FM-AE2 • Jan6-Jan9 noise level variable. 21:15 Jan9 big jump in the level • In Jan14 RT experiment, recovered to ~2ADU • No particular pattern in the frame image

  8. Kyoto FMS1 Noise • RMS~ 3-4 ADU • Variable frame to frame • RMS~2ADU in Osaka Experiment with higher current limit
