Amendments. Slavery is abolished. 13 th (Free). All persons born or naturalized in the United States is a citizen and shall receive equal protection under the law. 14 th (Citizens). Forbids any state from denying suffrage on the grounds of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. .

  2. Slavery is abolished 13th (Free)

  3. All persons born or naturalized in the United States is a citizen and shall receive equal protection under the law. 14th (Citizens)

  4. Forbids any state from denying suffrage on the grounds of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. 15th (Vote)

  5. Allowed for a progressive income tax. The more money you make, the higher your taxes will be. 16th

  6. Provides for the direct election of United States Senators by the people. This gave the people more power over their government. 17th

  7. Prohibition. Prohibits the selling or manufacturing of alcohol in the United States. 18th

  8. Women’s Suffrage. Gave women the right to vote. 19th

  9. Moves the Inauguration Day for the new president to January 20th to decrease the amount of time the (Lame Duck) president will be in office. 20th (Lame Duck)

  10. Repealed the 18th Amendment. Alcohol is legal again. 21st

  11. Two term limit. The president may serve no more than 2 terms or up to 10 years in office. 22nd

  12. Allows Washington DC to have 2 electoral votes for president in elections even though they are not a state. 23rd

  13. Outlaws the poll tax. You can never charge anyone a fee to vote. 24th

  14. Presidential succession. This lists the order of who will succeed the president if something happened. 25th

  15. Voting age is now 18 years old. If you are old enough to be drafted, you are old enough to vote. 26th
