Broward County ePermits today • Development Review and Environmental Review for all municipalities in Broward County • The review includes the following: • School and transportation impact fees assessment • Conformance with Plat note restrictions • Environmental impact of new construction or renovation i.e. surface water flow, contaminated sites and air quality

  4. What requires environmental review? • All new building construction, residential or nonresidential • All additions to non-residential buildings • All interior alterations to industrial buildings or warehouses if a building permit is required • All interior alterations to commercial or office buildings where a change in use or seating capacity will occur or where the building has been vacant for six months or more if a building permit is required • Final interior construction of existing shell buildings if a building permit is required • All foundations or slabs greater than 250 square feet

  5. ePermits Functionality • Easily accessible construction plans of all new residential and non-residential development • Access to uploaded plans which can save time and effort in lieu of obtaining copies of plans from individual building departments • Future eCloud concept of a single repository to upload plans
