Our guiding principles We provide help to the needy without any discrimination Through our web-based processes: We promote transparency by providing all the information online We promote volunteerism at grass roots level by providing easy processes which can be used from anywhere & at any time We promote social harmony by connecting the sponsors and the needy We provide an objective basis to identify needs through Family need calculator & help the most needy We establish credibility through quarterly reviews by field volunteers and monthly reviews by guardians www.ilmoamal.org 2

  3. Who is a Sponsor? A sponsor is an individual or legal entity • which partners with Ilm-o-Amal, and • sponsors educational, family help or income opportunity cases www.ilmoamal.org

  4. Benefit to you as a sponsor? Corporate legal entities can fulfill “corporate social responsibility” obligations For individuals it is an enriching experience to help the poor and the needy www.ilmoamal.org 4

  5. What commitments are required from the Sponsor? Sponsor agrees with Ilm-o-Amal to help a certain number of family help, education or income opportunities every year Sponsor may assign a coordinator to identify, select the cases and obtain necessary information & reports Provide Ilm-o-Amal the financial help on timely basis www.ilmoamal.org 5

Process to become a Sponsor Sponsor fills the sponsor form and submits to Ilm-o-Amal at info@ilmoamal.org Necessary meetings with Ilm-o-Amal team If an agreement reached sponsor must designate one or more coordinators Account for the sponsor’s coordinators will be created in our online system BMS www.ilmoamal.org 6

  7. How Ilm-o-Amal identifies needy people? Through our community volunteers in different zones/towns of Karachi Through educational & social welfare organizations Through our network of members www.ilmoamal.org 7

  9. What information Ilm-o-Amal will provide? Will provide complete online information on every case supported by sponsor Ilm-o-Amal will assign a relationship coordinator for the sponsor Review each case quarterly Arrange field visits if requested by sponsor www.ilmoamal.org 9

  10. What is the eligibility criteria? Ilm-o-Amal calculates the Income & Needs of the family Ilm-o-Amal has developed Family Need calculator for this purpose which is a web-based service It identifies familes below poverty-line www.ilmoamal.org 10
