  3. ADM Short Cuts • SP - Same as Patient • SNOK – Same as Next of Kin • SPTN- Same as Person to Notify • SG – Same as Guarantor • Zip Code / Postal Code

  4. System Short Cuts • T - Today • T+# - Date this number of days in future • T-# - Date this number of days in the past • N – Now • Space Bar + Enter – brings up last patient that user was working with, within the same session, regardless of application

  5. System NavigationMovement Within a Page • TAB or ENTER – Next Field • SHIFT + TAB or F6 – Previous Field • F7 – Home of Current Section • Page Up – Previous Section • F8 or Page Down– Next Section

  6. System NavigationKeyboard Commands • F9 – Lookup Key (Use Page Up and Page Down for Options) • F10 – Line Feed Key – Deletes Entire Line • F11 – Exits User from Screen (Does NOT file your work) • F12 – Files and Saves the Users work

  7. Keyboard Tools • SHIFT + F8 – Online Help (Use this at the prompt you want to know more about) • Use SHIFT + F8 a second time and will receive more helpful options (Options include adding custom Online documentation as well as viewing the NPR field information)

  8. Keyboard Tools (Cont.) • SHIFT + F9 – Search/Spell Check/Dictionary/Thesaurus • SHIFT + F12 – MAGIC Key • CTRL + F12 – Calculator • CTRL + F12 (at Date Field) - Calendar

  9. F1 – Begin Block F2- End Block F3 – Format F4 – Get Key F5 - Recall SHIFT + F1 – Bold SHIFT + F2 – Italic SHIFT + F3 – Underline SHIFT + F4 – Attributes SHIFT + F5 – Center SHIFT + F6 - Join Keyboard Tools within Text Editors

Identifying Patients • Full or Partial Name – All Caps • Account Number – Prefix + Number • Unit Number – U# + Prefix + Number • Social Security Number - # + Number • Policy Number – P# + Number • Last Patient – Space bar + Enter ** If the module uses Medical Record Numbers to Identify patients, the user would enter just the Unit Number with no U#. However if trying to bring up Account Number, the user will need to enter A# then Account Number.
