  3. Shelter Homes are wigwams. They are used for a long time. Men bent small trees and tied them together. Women covered them with birch bark or mats made from plants. 1

  4. Clothing and Accessories They used animal skins for clothes. They Also made capes out of wild turkey feathers to keep them dry and warm. 2

  5. Tools They made fast light canoes from trees. (birch bark, cedar, maple) They are made light so that you can carry them from one stream to another. 4

  6. Other They settled in the hills and valleys along the sea coast. Lots of rain helped fill the streams and rivers. 2
