  2. Built for defense The Eltz Castle had a river running around three sides of the castle and mountains on the other. So that made it super hard to attack. It was also built on a hill.

  3. Eltz castle history • There were three branches of the Eltz family the Kempanich, Rubanach, and Redendorf. They had to combine their money to build the Eltz Castle .

  4. Castle floor plan • They had the floor plan so the three brothers each had a fortified living quarters.

  5. armory • The armory was used for holding amour and weapons such as the sword ,war flail or flail ,javalin , battle axe ,axe ,and long sword.

  6. The eltz family The Eltz family got its name from the Elz river.
