  1. CLUE WG Interim Meeting Issue Discussion Summary Andover, MA Feb. 16, 2012 • Mary Barnes (WG co-chair) • Paul Kyzivat (WG co-chair)

  2. Issues Discussed • How do we start the call with SIP?  -i.e., call flow – start to finish.  • Several options (details in subsequent charts) • Need drafts and more detail to determine best approach • Consumer Capabilities – do we need it?  • Need further consideration – depends upon signaling • Relationship between capture scene and capture set • Needs clarification in FW, need a single term • Source Selection: • Not in current scope. Add use case in a new Appendix in WG use case document. • Policies (for switching and composition): • Following are not in scope now, long term need to consider interactions with XCON. • Switching algorithm. Site vs segment- can be handled with an attribute for now. • What goes into composed capture

  3. Other Issues • Spatial Relationship (SR) – do we need to discuss or can we resolve on ML?  • How SR interacts with Switched and/vs Composed?  • CLUE & SDP • Really covered in discussion of Basic flow. • Ticket#5/#7: • Some discussion in the context of policies. Need more ML discussion. • Encoding “hard coded” for H.264 • Data model: • Conclusion from 2/15 discussion – need to determine approach for modeling: UML vs XMLish high level structures (i.e., attribute/element names only). • Multiple devices use case

  4. How do we start the call with SIP?  -i.e., call flow – start to finish.  • Announce clue support • Other stuff non-clueful will ignore • M-lines that will be reasonable to non-clueful • (Roni) includes clue specific group into that will be ignored by clueless

  5. How do we start the call with SIP?  -i.e., call flow – start to finish.  • Options: • Caller advertisement i/with initial offer • Callee section in/with initial answer • Callee advertisement in/with initial answer • Caller selection in/with 2nd offer • - Initial Invite w/audio & video m-line • + m-line for clue signaling channel or info package • for clue signaling • - then clue capabilities/adv/sel exchange over clue • signaling channel • - 2nd O/A to establish clue media

  6. How do we start the call with SIP?  -i.e., call flow – start to finish.  • Options (continued): • c) Similar to (B) but encoding/grouping are carried in SDP in initial O/A (in the first step)
