The scene is in heaven 4v1-2 There is a glorious throne with one sitting on it 4v2 The one sitting on the throne is described in 4v11 as the Lord who created all things In Ch5v5-6 the lamb, known as the lion of Judah comes up to the throne and takes the book out of the hand of the one sitting on the throne The lamb opens the seals in ch 5 and the judgments get poured out in ch 6 A superficial read of Rev 4 and 5

  9. What mistake have we made? We’ve tried to turn it into a real literal scene. What's the conclusion you reach? The lamb must be Christ, therefore the one on the throne must be God. Therefore this must depict the time of Christ’s ascension when he was brought before the throne of God and given all power in heaven and earth.
