    2. 15 August 2012 Need to know information: Walk In Hours: 0700-1600 Mon-Fri Emergency Services: 24 hrs, 7 days a week by dialing 8911 from post phone or 804-633-8911 from cell phone. When in doubt contact Range Control FM Freq 32:00/38:50 Air Evacuation: Is activated by Emergency Services/Fire Department only! Patient will be flown to the approiate Trauma Center. Non Emergent Care: Soldiers unit must be prepared to transport non-urgent soldiers to higher level of care

    3. 15 August 2012 Need to know information: Dental Services: Quantico Marine Base, Mon, Tues, Weds, Fri. 0720-1120, 1230-1400. Closed Thurs. Must be screened at AP Hill clinic first. Dental Emergencies: Mary Washington Hospital Medical Supplies: Are obtained through your unit. - We do not provide hearing protection Regulated Medical Waste: Will be accepted from any Military unit or organization utilizing Ft AP Hill. However, each container must be accompanied by a description of contents. In addition, all sharps must be separated from other bio-hazard materials

    7. 15 August 2012 PURPOSE Present information regarding: Local arthropods, plants, and animals of medical significance. Individual preventive measures to promote personal safety and health

    8. 15 August 2012 THE MEDICAL THREAT Arthropods Insects Ticks, Mites, Spiders Animals Plants Insects have six legs (three pairs) and three body segments: head, thorax, and abdomen. Ticks, mites, spiders, and scorpions (Arachnids) have eight legs and possess body segmentation differing from the standard head, thorax, and abdomen.     11. 15 August 2012 Ticks: AP Hill clinic will collect all ticks to send out for testing Once tick is removed, place in bag or vial and bring to the clinic A tick bite is not an EMERGENCY, DO NOT CALL 911 - See attached sheet for instructions for removal and care
