  2. This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you — if anyone is above reproach…. (Titus 1:5-6)

  3. The problem Loss of NT teaching and practice of Eldership

  4. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped of every good work. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

  5. … do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

  6. Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, “The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to me…” Exodus 3:16

  7. Examples of Eldership And this they did, sending it in charge of Barnabas and Saul to the elders. Acts 11:30

  15. Instructions About Eldership But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction. 1 Thess 5:12

  19. Deficient Without Eldership For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order [to set right] what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you (Titus 1:5)
