  1. Getting your Ref Centre account ready for the new season Tim Baigent

  2. Pre season tasks • To get the best out of Ref Centre you should perform the following tasks during the 2nd week of May • Review your Profile • Update your Availability • Review each page in the Preference menu

  3. Review your profile Check that your Profile is correct Update it if you need to and for those areas that can not be updated contact the OSA The area of residence is used to calculate any travel expenses so select it carefully

  4. Update your availability Make sure that your availability is updated by the 15th of the previous month as assignments are scheduled 2 weeks in advance of the game

  5. Preferences Districts Now go to the Preference menu and check off the districts that you regularly officiate in If you do not intend to officiate any where except EODSA then do not check any other districts

  6. Preferences Leagues On Leagues check off the leagues that you want to do

  7. Preferences Tournaments On Tournaments only check off the Tournaments that you want to do

  8. Preferences Divisions On divisions check off each division that you want to do

  9. Preferences Day The automatic assignment engine needs to know which league you prefer on each night Check with each league to see that this makes sense. For example only the OCSL play on a Friday so it doesn’t make much sense to select any other league for that night

  10. Preferences Kick Off If you can only referee games before 8pm select Early in this tool If you can only referee games after 8pm select Late in this tool In all other cases set this tool to Don’t Care

  11. Preferences Fields Select the zones that you want to referee in Higher graded referees only have two choices, Preferred and Acceptable All other referees have a None option To increase your chance of getting a game offer set more fields to Preferred

  12. Preferences OSA Zones For OSA assigned games ie OUA and Ontario Cup Men, Women and U21 you must set up your zones If you don’t do these games then ignore this page

  13. Preferences Home Page Settings This is a personal setting for your home page Set it up as you wish
