  10. Renewable Fuel Funding PON 2942 Advanced Clean Power Technologies – Due Nov 11 Develop and demonstrate innovative renewable and other advanced clean power technologies, develop and demonstrate technologies that improve performance, or address and overcome specific barriers thwarting increased adoption of Eligible Technologies Product Development

  11. Up to $2 million total incentive funding per project NYSERDA’s Anaerobic Digester Gas-to-Electricity (ADG) Program PON 2828 Funding via the NYS Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Customer-Sited Tier (CST) Currently 22 (RPS CST) projects operating at farms, wastewater treatment plants and industrial facilities (plus 4 older projects from before RPS)

  12. Up to $2 million total incentive funding per project Currently over $20 million available through end of 2015 NYSERDA’s Anaerobic Digester Gas-to-Electricity (ADG) Program PON 2828 Combination of: Capacity Incentives - Paid during construction and commissioning Performance Incentives – Generally $0.025/kWh paid over 10 years (for 75% of the total potential generation) Incentive funding levels for a particular project based on the power generation capacity and other factors

  13. Some Eligibility Requirements of PON 2828 Funding is for grid-connected anaerobic digester gas-to-electricity projects only (digester, gas handling and power generation) but nothing precludes a project from also producing BioCNG Applicants must pay the RPS surcharge on their electric bill Eligible feedstocks include manure, ag waste, food waste, municipal wastewater and sludges More info check Current Funding Opportunities for PON 2828 at nyserda.ny.gov

  14. No per project limit on funding NYSERDA’s RPS Main Tier Intended for a range of technologies including digesters (currently 2 digester projects) Generally suited for large projects (>750 kW) “Bid – in” process – applicants bid a price per kWh for their renewable power generation Behind the meter installations allowed Host site doesn’t necessarily need to pay into RPS
