  3. Contribution of the programme to leadership Ability to fast track learning process Recognition of top performance and eventual reward (role modeling) Motivation of colleagues and peers to embrace hard work Non discrimination of awards – purely on merit Gender parity

  4. Expectations Linkages and continuity of relationship beyond MA – PhD Continuity of the programme to other students Opportunity to tour Japan and other countries that have same fellowship on an exchange programme basis Mentorship Improve and enhance communication

  5. Challenges Inability to manage the learning process due to limited funds Raising extra changes outside the scholarship a challenge Full scholarship – tuition and non tuition Lack of opportunity to practice as printed; teaching assistantship

Recommendations Overall appreciation to be selected amongst a pool of many others Enhance and strengthen communication channels Increase/create some fund to complete the entire fee required Avail opportunities for exposure tours to Japan to strengthen capacity Create opportunity with foundation for employment expenses
