  1. Alternative Energy Research Project:Wind Energy AniediRoberts,JuanCruz,JuanMolinares

  2. Introduction • This energy is generated when wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind to mechanical energy • It comes from the air’s kinetic energy and is also a result of the uneven heating of the atmosphere by the sun

  3. Problem • There is no real way to capture energy just to be able to harness it by having it go through the wind turinbe

  4. Materials • We use a wind turbine to be able to use wind energy by using wind to make electricity. The wind energy turns the blades, which spin a shaft, which connects to a generator and makes electricity.

  5. Data • Total costs for installing a commercial-scale wind turbine will vary significantly depending on the number of turbines ordered. Other Costs include Construction costs and other things such as repair • The costs for a utility scale wind turbine in 2012 range from about $1.3 million to $2.2 million per megawatt capacity installed

  6. Application • Wind energy is used today as a wind turbine that harnesses wind’s kinetic energy and convert it into electricity • This energy isn't being used Florida but is I use of other parts of the country • This energy is being mainly utilized in India, Germany, France, and the UK

  7. Conclusion • Wind energy releases no pollution into the air or water, and does not contribute to global warming while still creating electric energy • They also have disadvantages such as noise disturbance, and is a Threat to wild life, • There is no concerns for this form of energy besides he fact that wind can’t always be predicted.
