  3. UKMERGĖS DISTRT GENERAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS • 3 GIMNASIUMS; • 3 SEKONDARY SCHOOLS; • 9 BASIC SCHOOLS; • 1 NURSERY - SCHOOL; • 1 SPECIAL SCHOOL. • In 2013-2014 schoolyear, 4267 pupils are learningintheschools.

  4. NON-FORMAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS • UKMERGĖS SPORTS CENTR (attendind694 pupils, 16,2 %); • ART SCHOOL (attending 596 pupils)

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES OF GENERAL EDUCATION SCHOOLS PUPIL’S • PHYSICAL EDUCATION LESSON; • NON-FORMAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES; (involed in 3508 pupils (82%), the ircles, of heathy lifestyle skills and sports activities, attended 31,8 % of all learnes) • SPORTS EVENTS; • DISTRICT’S PUPIL’S SPORTS COMPETITION; • LITHUANIAN PUPILS OLYMPIC FESTIVAL.

  6. THE PURPOSE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION LESSONS – TO DEVELOP SYSTEMATIC PHYSICAL ACTIVITY SKILLS.

CONCLUSIONS • Sports activities in Ukmergė have our own traditions; • Systematically organized various sports events; • Gains the prize places through national and international competitions; • Employs qualified sports specialists; • Constantly renewable sports facilities; • An insufficient pupils’ motivation to do sports; • Sports teachers don’t have enough knowledge about the innovative teaching methods and forms.
