  10. RESEARCHES FOR THE PRESENT YEARS • Spice Telecom, a mobile operator in India, has deployed Veraz ControlSwitch and I-Gate 4000 media gateways for a national and international MPLS-based long distance network, the company said.

  11. The deployment of Veraz platform Spice is expected to have a flexible IP-based solution that would help it to protect and improve voice profitability via efficient network operations and a twelvefold increase in voice capacity.

A single ControlSwitch is spanning sixteen sites throughout northern India, with SS7 signaling and EMS module redundancy in two sites for full disaster recovery. • “We chose Veraz because it is a true IP-based solution, with impressive versatility and flexibility in its switch, and tremendous bandwidth optimization coupled with excellent voice quality in its gateways,” said RK Singh, president, Spice Telecom, in a statement.
