  3. Romanesque Gothic It is enclosed and the windows are small to prevent structural weakness. The doors and archways are rounded at the top. Saint Loup de Naud Chartres Cathedral The edges are sharp and the roof is pointed to make the weight fall on the walls. There are large pointed windows letting in a large amount of light. The large amount of flying buttresses also make it gothic.

  4. Romanesque Gothic This church has a rounded doorway and small widows. The lack of outside support structure. The small window on the front gives it a roman look because there wouldn’t have been much light let in. Monteriggioni, Tuscany, Italy Church of St. Denis in Paris Church of St. Denis in Paris This church is very big which is a common sight in gothic churches. The external supports and windows also make it gothic.

  5. Romanesque Gothic This church is roman because it has very small windows and no external structural supports. Romanesque churches of Sardinia Abbey Church of St.-Denis This church is gothic because of the large size and external flying buttereses. The large windows would also make it bright inside which is a trait of gothic churches.
