POSTION NORMINATED; TO BE THE NEXT INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OFFICER, EDUCATION CERYIFICATES 2004-2007, B.A. IN THEATRE ARTS JAN. 2012—DATE, M.A. , HUMAN RESOURSE MANAGEMENT AWARDS NATIONAL SERVICE AWARD FOR SERVICE TO NATION (NYSC, NIG.) 2008. MANIFESTO; My people, I call you my people because when I look around the school environment all I see is a combination of talents. For though we are all of different languages, sex, skin color and continents, we are one in existence. The University of Northampton is, for the duration of our various studies, our home of abode. And it’s a home for different culture, tribes and beliefs. But unless we come together as one, we cannot adapt to the challenges to come. Being together involves putting our backgrounds aside, embracing one another and working as a team to make history. I am Mr Christopher Ibi, a student of Human Resource Management, a Nigerian by citizen but a human by creation. I am vying for the post of The International Students Officer. I bring myself, humble and willing, to serve. You might not know me but I am that brother you need and you are that family I crave to hold dear. IF GIVEN THE CHANCE TO SERVE I WILL; .Ensure that all international students, irrespective of their language or culture have a sense of belonging. .Ensure that all educational challenges faced by any international student are well attended to. .Organise academic exchange trips for students. .Organise cross cultural business lectures and seminars MOTIVATION; I have always been one that loves the diversity of cultures and how it makes the world a global village and this has given me the knack to serve via this reputable position. But like the adage goes; “No man is an island” i am counting on your vote and together, under the umbrella of positivity, we will make the University of Northampton a comfortable fun filled place of learning for ourselves and prepare it for the future ones.
