  13. AL GIZAH La Esfinge de Giza -La Gran Esfinge se realizó esculpiendo un montículo natural de roca caliza en la meseta de Giza. Tiene una altura de unos veinte metros, midiendo el rostro más de cinco metros. La cabeza podría representar al faraón Kefrén, teniendo el cuerpo la forma de un león. AL fondo la piramide de Kefrén.

  21. PORT SAID La ciudad de Port Said nació en realidad como un campamento, fundado en 1859 por Said Pasha. Este asentamiento tenía por objeto cobijar a los hombres que trabajaban en elCanal de Suez. Para finales del siglo XIX, la ciudad comenzó a desarrollarse gracias a la actividad del importante puerto que albergaba la sede del poder marítimo y numerosos consulados. La ciudad fue dañada durante la crisis de Suez, y también sufrió marcas producidas durante las guerras de 1967 y 1973. Por ello, debió ser reconstruida y hoy se trata de una agradable ciudad con 40000 habitantes. El centro, sin embargo, conserva algunas piezas de arquitectura colonial del siglo XIX que resultan muy bellas y vale la pena visitar.

  29. ALEXANDRIA Alejandría, es una ciudad del norte de Egipto, situada en el delta del río Nilo, sobre una loma que separa el lago Mareotis del mar Mediterraneo. Es también la capital de la gobernación del mismo nombre, y el principal puerto del país. Fue fundada por Alejandro Magno en el año 332 a. C.en una fértil región, con una estratégica situación portuaria, convirtiéndose pocos años después en el centro cultural del mundo antiguo.

Después de recorrer 6.670 km desemboca en el Mar Mediterráneo. A lo largo de su curso tiene varios saltos de agua: las cataratas.
