  7. V Academic Facts • For students to start their studies smoothly at least a basic understanding of the academic system is essential. • Information to help students understand the Dutch/European grading and examination system. • Useful information such as hours expected to be devoted to study.

  8. VI Language & Culture • Culture and language go hand-in-hand • Cultural knowledge helps shape expectations • Took on this objective given my Dutch background • Some knowledge upfront may ease ‘culture shock’

  11. Reflections Observations • Open nature  difficult to define the scope, product and direction • Useful exercise for multi-cultural and team work AND • Project itself helped us acclimatise! What worked well • Defined the scope and expectation early on • Limited time, only the design and content of the app and not finished product. • Punctualityand cooperation of all team members • Set reachable goals to be accomplished (for each team member at the end of each meeting) • Multi-cultural input was very handy

  12. Reflections What we can improve upon • Integrate late-comer • Working in a multi-cultural team • People with different personalities, societal behaviors • What is considered the norm? Conclusion • Satisfied with the results • Content can easily be turned into an App • Scalable
